Winona State University’s Elementary Education program has been ranked as the leading elementary education program in the State of Minnesota by Teacher.org. The 2016 list of “Best Colleges for Elementary Education” also recognizes WSU’s Elementary Education program as being ranked ninth in the nation, and WSU is the only Minnesota school ranked in the top 20.
“The WSU College of Elementary Education faculty are dedicated to transforming teacher education,” said Tarrell Portman, dean of the WSU College of Education. “I am very proud of their dedication to students and preparing quality teachers.”
The rankings were compiled by analyzing and comparing over 781 colleges based on size of program, graduation rates, default rates, tuition affordability, and online education options.
