The Department of Theatre & Dance (THAD) at Winona State University (WSU) will present “As You Like It” by William Shakespeare at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, through Saturday, April 16, in the Vivian Fusillo Theatre at the Performing Arts Center.
One of Shakespeare’s most beloved plays “As You Like It” features the romantic and resourceful Rosalind who is banished from her uncle’s court and must flee to a nearby forest. Accompanying her is her cousin Celia and their friend Touchstone in this light-hearted comedy of betrayal, disguise, utopia, and romance.
“As You Like It” is directed by Jim Williams. This production serves as an acting capstone for THAD students Emma VanVactor Lee (Rosalind), Thomas Sonneman (Charles/Attendant/William), David Traff (Duke Frederick). Senior, Casey Howe, will fulfill his design capstone as the production’s lighting designer, and senior Lydia Graddy-VanDenBerg will complete her capstone as the costume designer for the production.
