Winona State University will host a community meeting to discuss the Campus Master Plan from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, in the WSU Climbing Center in Wabasha Recreation Center. A campus map can be found online.
WSU is currently working with RDG Planning & Design on an update of its Comprehensive Facilities Master Plan. The Campus Master Plan is developed to support the short and long term goals of WSU and its mission, and includes information about existing buildings, facilities and property and their current use. The plan also explores options for expansion, growth or changes for the future as they relate to the WSU mission.
The community meeting will open with an introduction by WSU Vice President for Finance and Administration Scott Ellinghuysen, followed by a presentation by RDG that will provide an update on the process and seek feedback from the community specific to planning for Facilities, Landscape Arboretum and Athletics. WSU updates its master plan every five years and will provide a final report to the MnSCU Board of Trustees later this spring. More information is available online.
The event is free and open to the community, and light refreshments will be served. Community members and neighbors are encouraged to attend to learn about the process, ask questions and share their thoughts on the future of WSU.
