Winona State University’s College of Business Speakers’ Series will host Diane Amundson presenting “Talking About Our Generations: Learning to Communicate Effectively Across Generations in your Current and Future Workplace” from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, in the Stark Auditorium, room 103.
This workshop will promote a light-hearted and thought-provoking look at the benefits of a mixed-generation workforce and examine how age affects all of us in the workplace. Through the presentation, students will assess their current knowledge of the four generations in today’s workforce, learn the facts and events that shaped each generations’ way of viewing the world and discover tips to improve their communication with each generation.
Amundson has worked with various organizations, including General mills and Pepsi Cola, that wanted to improve their communication for increased productivity. She has been training, speaking and facilitating for over 22 years in the areas of leadership coaching, generational diversity, team building, conflict resolution and strategic planning.
