Winona State University will officially dedicate the Vivian Fusillo Theatre at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, in the Performing Arts Center.
The naming recognizes WSU Theatre Professor Emerita Vivian Fusillo, who retired in 2014 after 47 years of teaching. Fusillo is best known for her award-winning Children’s Theatre and was recently nominated for a Kennedy Center/Stephen Sondheim Inspirational Teacher Award. The dedication of the theatre also commemorates Fusillo’s involvement in almost 100 productions and classes during her teaching career.
After the ceremony there will be a reception at the Winona Municipal Airport, 106 Galewski Dr. Refreshments will be served.
