Winona State University’s Cal Fremling floating interpretive center and classroom will host educational boat tours this summer in partnership with the Winona County Historical Society.
Aboard the boat, participants will learn about the, Winona history, the environment and more. Cruises leave the dock at 7 p.m. Thursdays, and each tour will last 90 minutes. Beverages, a light snack and sight seeing are included.
The Cal Fremling is a state-of-the-art vessel dedicated to creating a greater understanding of the broad multi-faceted nature of the Mississippi River and providing a distinctive, high-quality application of knowledge to students of every age within the region.
Tickets are still available for cruises in July, August and September.
Purchase tickets in advance at the History Center or by phone at 507-454-2723 ext. 0. Tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members. Three cruises are available as a package for $40 for members or $55 for non-members.
