Winona State University will host the Annual Dixieland Jazz Workshop June 24-27, co-sponsored by the Upper Mississippi Jazz Society.
Registration is available online, and students may choose to attend a two-day or four-day workshop.
The four-day workshop runs from June 24-27 and costs $249 per student. The two-day workshop runs from June 26-27 and costs $119. Registration costs include overnight stays at WSU residence halls and meals. Discounted registration is available for students who do not need residence hall accommodations.
WSU faculty member Rich MacDonald started the jazz workshops in 2005. Since then nearly 300 students from the tri-state area have participated. This year Dustin Moburg, director of bands at Caledonia Schools, and Larry Price, local musician and educator, will join MacDonald.
