The Winona State University Department of Music will present a one-night-only musical revue of “Guys and Dolls” at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, in the Harriet Johnson Auditorium in Somsen Hall.
WSU Concert Choir will perform twenty-five of Frank Loesser’s Broadway classics, including A Bushel and a Peck; Take Back Your Mink; Luck Be a Lady Tonight; Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat; and Adelaide’s Lament.
Harry and Lauren Mechell will co-direct the musical, with staging and choreography by WSU alumnus Cory Meier.
Executive Chef Randy Shadle of Chartwells Dining Service will serve an assortment of elegant desserts during intermission, including Dark Chocolate and Dulce de Leche Shortbread with Fleur de Sel; Blueberry, Lime, Strawberry and Lemon Cheesecakes; Hot Habanera White Chocolate Fudge; Inverted Double Fudge Brownie Bites with Nuts, Nonpareil, and Dried Cherries; Tart Granny Smith Apple Cinnamon Strudel Cups; and Raspberry Jam Thumbprint Cookies.
Tickets are $25 for the public and $12 for WSU students with ID. Tickets include both the performance and intermission refreshments. Tickets are available online at wsuartstickets.com or by calling the Box Office at 507-457-5235.
