Winona State University will host “Ebola: One Nurse’s Story” with Ellen Hanson at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, in Harriet Johnson Auditorium, Somsen Hall. (View campus map.)
Hanson is an ER nurse with more than 30 years experience. She recently returned from Liberia, where she treated patients during the Ebola outbreak. She has extensive experience working as a disaster nurse, volunteering with the Red Cross after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, after Hurricane Sandy in 2012, and in Haiti, after the earthquake in 2010 and during the cholera outbreak in 2011.
The event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the WSU Departments of Biology and Nursing.
