The Winona State University Department of Geoscience will host “The Southern Ocean Reveals Its Climate Secrets” with Amelia Shevenell at 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, in Science Laboratory Center 120. The event is part of the weekly Earth Talks speaker series.
This interdisciplinary lecture is appropriate for anyone interested in how Earth’s climate has changed over time and will overview how scientists have reconstructed the details of Earth’s past climate changes.
Shevenell is the 2014-15 Ocean Leadership Distinguished Lecturer. She is an assistant professor in the College of Marine Science at the University of South Florida and Research Associate in the Department of Earth Science, University College London.
