Winona State University Health, Counseling and Wellness Services will present the following events the week of Oct. 27-31 in the Integrated Wellness Complex, room 138.
Healthy Mondays “Words Matter” will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, in the Well (IWC 138). Join RE initiative PACTivists and WSU President Scott Olson for a short introduction to harmful language and cyber bullying, followed by a discussion of student concerns around social media apps such as Yik Yak and Fade.
Fit Stop will present “Flexibility Testing” 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 28, near the entrance to the Fitness Center in the IWC. Stop by to test your flexibility and learn why it’s healthy to be flexible at an interactive resource table with the Exercise Science Club.
Wellness Wednesdays will present “Self-Lovin’-Building Positive Sexual Self-Esteem” at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, in The Well (IWC 138). Building a positive body image and having an overall healthy self-concept are important in creating intimate and fulfilling relationships. Join WSU Health and Wellness Student Advocates for a session on how to boost your sexual self-esteem.
Health promotion programming aims to increase awareness, knowledge and skills to sustain a healthy lifestyle. These programs are designed to challenge and provide personal growth and development for all Winona State University students.
