iCanBike

WSU alumnae Mindy Reinardy, Gabey Davis and Jade Johnson.

Winona State University alumna Gabrielle Davis raised more than $7,000 during spring semester 2014 to bring the “iCanBike” program, which provides special equipment and training for first-time riders with physical and mental disabilities, to Winona.

Davis, a spring 2014 WSU graduate in Athletic Training, worked closely with fellow WSU alumna Mindy Reinardy, who serves as the Transition Coordinator and Physical/Health Disabilities Teacher for Winona Area Public Schools, and the program ran in Winona May 19-23. Winona State volunteers working alongside Davis included junior Athletic Trainer Jade Johnson, alumna Christina Trovinger, Special Education alumna Kate Hartmen, current student and Special Education major Conrad Masberg, Head Athletic Trainer Stacey Czaplewski, and Tracy Rahim, Associate Director of Student Activities & Leadership.

The program also received approval and funding from the WSU Student Senate.

The iCanBike Program is associated with iCanShine.
