Winona State University Health, Counseling and Wellness Services will present the following events the week of Oct. 6-8 in the Integrated Wellness Complex, room 138.

Healthy Mondays “Say Something! The Essential Guide to Mental Health” will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, in the Well (IWC 138). WSU counselor Mick Lynch will lead a discussion about concerns surrounding mental health and help students discover the roles we all play in helping people become emotionally healthy.

Fit Stop will present “RE Initiative PACTivists” 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, near the entrance to the Fitness Center in the IWC. Stop by this interactive resource table to learn more about PACTivists and gender-based violence.

Wellness Wednesdays will present “Depression Panel” at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, in The Well (IWC 138). WSU counselor Kelly Kirby will discuss causes of depression and anxiety and how they can hinder everyday life. Other topics of discussion include: behavioral strategies to help manage anxiety and depression and campus resources available for students to use.

Health promotion programming aims to increase awareness, knowledge and skills to sustain a healthy lifestyle. These programs are designed to challenge and provide personal growth and development for all Winona State University students.
