The Winona State University Department of Theatre & Dance will hold auditions for the 2014-15 fall season productions “Assassins,” a musical by Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman, and “Leaving Iowa,” a comedy by Tim Clue and Spike Manton.
Auditions will be held Tuesday, Aug. 26, and Wednesday, Aug. 27, beginning with “Assassins” from 6-7:30 p.m. and “Leaving Iowa” from 7:30-9 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Callbacks will be Thursday, Aug. 28.
Audition requirements for “Assassins” will be a prepared 16-32 bar song and sheet music for the accompanist. WSU theatre majors will need to present a one-minute monologue.
Audition requirements for “Leaving Iowa” will be cold readings from the script, which will be provided the evening of auditions. WSU theatre majors will need to present a one-minute monologue.
Auditions are open to the WSU and Winona communities.
