Incoming dean of the Winona State University College of Business Hamid Akbari will present “Servant Leadership: An essential style for organizing and leading civic action” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, in Science Laboratory Center 120.
In his talk, Akbari will propose servant leadership as the essential style to adopt for initiating, leading and sustaining any organized civic action. He will present an overview of the theory and practice of servant leadership, including the traits often associated with it, and will highlight many examples from across different countries.
Akbari earned his Ph.D. in business administration from The Ohio State University; and his master’s degree in political science, M.B.A., and bachelor of business administration from the University of Toledo.
Akbari’s talk is part of the College of Business Speaker Series. The presentation is free and open to the public.
