The Winona State University CLASP lecture series will host Kathryn Lammers and Carol Marchant for the presentation “Really!!! My Rubber Ducky is Dangerous!!!” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, in Stark Auditorium.
Lammers and Marchant will discuss health threats in our personal environments and how these threats differ depending on age, dose and exposure. The talk will review methods on how to take action on environmental risks and protect yourself and children.
Lammers, assistant professor of nursing, has been a practicing nurse for more than 30 years and has served on many environmental taskforce initiatives. She was recently elected Lake Onalaska District Commissioner. She has a bachelor’s degree from Kent State, master’s degree from WSU, and Ph.D. from University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee.
Marchant is an adjunct faculty member in the Special Education department. She has taught special education for 25 years, working with children and adolescents with a wide variety of disabilities. Marchant earned a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Los Angeles, and her master’s in special education from WSU.
