Close to 400 students will participate in the Winona State University Fall 2013 Commencement ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, in McCown Gymnasium in Memorial Hall on the Winona campus.

The ceremony includes graduates from the College of Business, the College of Education, the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and the College of Science and Engineering.
The featured student speaker is Sam Schurman of Excelsior, Minn. Schurman is graduating with a bachelor’s degree in communication arts and literature: teaching.
Brady Beckman, a social studies secondary education (history) and theatre performance major from Apple Valley, Minn., and Megan M. Smith, a theatre and mass communication: public relations major from Baldwin, Wis., will introduce the degree candidates.
A reception will be held following the ceremony in Talbot Gymnasium, Memorial Hall.
