Winona State University’s Department of Composite Materials Engineering will present the seminar “Integration of Smart Sensing Capabilities in Structural Application using Carbon Nanotube Multi-Scale Hybrid Composites” at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, room 106, Stark Hall.
The seminar will feature WSU alumnus Erik T. Thostenson, whose research centers on processing and characterization of composite materials focusing on carbon nanotube and advanced fiber reinforcements. Thostenson was a recipient of the 2013 Winona State University Distinguished Young Alumnus Award and is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Delaware.
The event is free and open to the public.
