The Winona State University CLASP lecture series will host “WSU Land Stewardship” with Bruno Borsari, Associate Professor of Biology, and Jim Reynolds, Professor Emeritus of Sociology, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, in Stark 103.
Borsari and Reynolds will overview the diverse plant community supported by the WSU campuses and other sites owned by the university. They will also discuss the need to preserve the botanical diversity at WSU and educate students and community members on conservation and stewardship. Borsari will review his role as university land steward and the role he will play in assisting faculty and students in conservation efforts across curricula. The presentation will also outline a vision for stewardship and sustainability at WSU and introduce the charge of the WSU Arboretum Committee.
