Students from the Winona State University Music Business Club, in partnership from the Mid West Music Fest, will host a Musicians’ Summit on Saturday, April 20, noon to 3 p.m. at Acoustic Café, 77 Lafayette St., and 3 to 4 p.m. at Jefferson Pub and Grill, 58 Center St.
The Musicians’ Summit is an opportunity for musicians and community members interested in the music industry to create connections and discuss various aspects of the music business with industry professionals. The panels will include “Booking Agents” with Craig Grossman and Dave Priebe at noon, “Instrument Making” with John Reed at 1 p.m., “Intellectual Property and Copyright” with attorneys Tony Mendoza and Gary Hunter at 2 p.m., and “Pro Tips for Performing on Stage” with Jim Trouten at 3 p.m.
All four panels are free and open to the public.
