Winona State University and HealthForce Minnesota will offer students the opportunity to explore the medical field with the fifth annual Scrubs Camp June 24-29 on WSU’s Winona campus.
Scrubs Camp offers students currently in grades 8-11 the opportunity to explore the medical field. Around 100 participants will experience a variety of hands-on healthcare activities and workshops, and be exposed to several career options. The camp gives students the opportunity to network with current WSU students and faculty as well as health professionals from around the area. Participants will live on campus and be involved in team building and recreational activities such as a ropes course, games and movies.
A mobile simulation lab will be on campus Tuesday, June 26. Trainers from Ridgewater College will be on hand to demonstrate the advanced simulation techniques that offer training and simulation scenarios. This state-of-the-art training facility can also act as a triage unit in case of emergency.
Demonstrations will be held from 8:30-10 a.m. The trailer will be parked in front of Kryzsko Commons on Huff Street.
