Winona State University will host “Offline and Unfiltered: A Panel Discussion with the Editors of Feministing.com” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, in Gildemeister 155.
Feministing.com is a well-regarded online community for feminists and their allies. Editors Jos Truitt, Maya Dusenbery and Lori Adelman will lead this panel discussion about current events.
Truitt specializes in immigrants’ rights, racial justice, queer liberation and feminist organizing. Dusenbery does online communications and social media work for a reproductive rights organization in New York. Adelman, a writer and advocate for women’s health and rights both domestically and internationally, has worked on raising awareness about the obstruction of access to legal abortion after rape in Mexico.
The panel discussion is part of the celebration of the Women’s and Gender Studies Program’s 20th anniversary.
