Winona State University’s Provost Search Committee has announced the finalists for the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs position.
The finalists are David J. Pittenger, Patricia L. Rogers, Lance R. Grahn and Michael J. Renner. They will be meeting with the university communities at Winona and Rochester starting March 25.
Pittenger is currently the Dean for the College of Liberal Arts at Marshall University in Huntington, W. Va. His previous experience includes serving as Acting Associate Provost for Academic Administration at Marshall, and Professor and Head of the Department of Psychology at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Rogers currently serves as Dean for the College of Health Science and Human Ecology and the School of Graduate Studies at Bemidji State University. Her previous experience includes serving as Founding Dean for the School of Education and Graduate Studies at Valley City State University in North Dakota, as well as Full Professor at Bemidji State.
Grahn is currently a Professor in the Department of History at the University of Central Arkansas, and previously served as their Provost and Dean of Faculty/Vice President for Academic Affairs. His previous experiences include serving as Dean for the College of Letters and Sciences at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Renner currently serves as a Professor of Biology and Psychology at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and as Scientific Advisor for the Gishwati Area Conservation Program in Rwanda. His previous experiences include serving as Provost overseeing Academic Affairs and Student Affairs at Drake.
