Winona State University’s Outreach and Continuing Education Department will sponsor a Wilderness First Responder Course May 17-26.
The course is a nationally recognized program that trains participants to respond to emergencies in remote settings. After successful completion of this course, participants will be certified as wilderness first responders by the Wilderness Medicine Institute of the National Outdoor Leadership School.
For those who already hold a Wilderness First Responder certification, a recertification course is open May 13-15.
Space is limited for both courses. The registration deadline is April 3 for the recertification course and April 5 for the full certification course.
