Winona State University will host author Ed Bok Lee as part of the Great River Reading series Tuesday, April 2.
Lee will give a public reading from his book, “Whorled,” at 6:30 p.m. in Stark Auditorium. He will also speak to James Armstrong’s Advanced Poetry writing class about his work from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in Minne 358.
Lee is the author of “Whorled,” winner of a 2012 American Book Award and a Minnesota Book Award for Poetry, and “Real Karaoke People,” winner of a 2006 PEN/Beyond Margins Book Award and an Asian American Literary Award (Members’ Choice).
Lee holds an MFA from Brown University, teaches part-time at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, and has shared his work in journals, anthologies, and on stages across North America, Europe, and Asia.
All class sessions and readings are free and open to the public.
