Winona State University Faculty Research Series will host a Brown Bag Discussion on “Dakota Women’s Work: Creativity, Culture and Exile” at noon Thursday, Feb. 21, in Purple Room 244, Kryzsko Commons.
Colette Hyman, professor of history, will lead a discussion about her book, “Dakota Women’s Work,” which examines how the decorative work of Dakota women continued the traditions of the Dakota people, even in the face of exile and attempts at extermination.
This event is free and open to the public. Participants are welcome to bring a lunch.
