Matthew Bosworth, professor of Political Science and Public Administration at Winona State University
The Winona State University Athenaeum Series will present “Elections 2012! Voting in Winona and the Ballot Amendments” at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, on the second floor of the Darrell W. Krueger Library.
Kara Lindaman and Matthew Bosworth, professors of political science and public administration, and Heather Hawkins, assistant professor of history, will present information on voting in Winona, including voter registration, where to vote and what offices are up for election. Lindaman will provide an overview of issues that affect voter turnout, and Hawkins and Bosworth will present an overview of the ballot amendments for the State of Minnesota, the Voter Identification Amendment and the Same-Sex Marriage Amendment. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.
All WSU Athenaeum Series events are free and open to the public.
