Winona State University will host an art exhibit titled “Recent Sculpture” showcasing the work of WSU alumnus Karl Unnasch Wednesday, Oct. 17, through Wednesday, Nov. 7, in the Paul Watkins Art Gallery.
Unnasch graduated from WSU in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts, and continued his education at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where he received his master of fine arts in 2003.
He has been awarded numerous grants and currently is resident artist at Fillmore Central High School, the Summer Apprenticeship Director for Pilot Mound Design Studio, and Adjunct Professor of Sculpture at the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse.
There will be an artist’s talk at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, and reception at 5 p.m. in the Watkins Gallery.
Gallery hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Wednesdays 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
The exhibit is free and open to the public.
