Senior University Students, Living History Spring ‘13

The Winona State University Retiree Center will offer a diverse slate of classes this fall through Senior University.

Senior University is open to all senior citizens in the Winona community. The program promotes continued life-long learning and personal, intellectual and cultural enrichment. These non-credit courses cover current events, history, philosophy, science, art, poetry and literature and are taught by WSU faculty, retirees and community members.

Fall 2014 courses include: “Arab Spring: Fact or Fiction” with Ahmed El-Afandi, Aug. 21-Sept. 11; “What Are We Made Of? A Physicist’s Perspective” with Andrew Ferstl, Sept. 9-Oct. 7; “Music of Other Cultures” with Ruth Bures, Sept. 11, 25, Oct. 9, Nov. 13, 20; and “Four Actors of French Cinema” with Jeanine Black, Oct. 20-Nov. 10.
