Winona State University will host “Democracy in Action: What is the public role of schools in Winona?” from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, at the Tau Center, West Campus.

This democratic deliberative forum was developed collaboratively by Winona State University and Winona Senior High School students. Attendees will include more than 100 secondary and post-secondary students, educators, administrators, and community members.

The moderated discussion will share core civic engagement learning outcomes of educating for personal and social responsibility and taking seriously the perspectives of others.

The event is sponsored by the American Democracy Project and the WSU Foundation.
