Health in a Weight Focused WorldWinona State University Health, Counseling and Wellness Services will present the following events the week of Feb. 24-28.

Healthy Mondays “Health in a Weight Focused World” will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, in Harriet Johnson Auditorium, Somsen Hall. The event will focus on how to promote a positive body image and self-esteem, while encouraging optimal health and well-being through joyful activity, self-care and nutrition. The presenter will be Rachel Slater, Ph.D., L.P. of the Emily Program.

Fit Stop will present “Personal Training at the IWC” at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, outside the entrance to the Fitness Center. Stop by to check out personal training benefits and programs at the IWC. Current WSU Exercise Science Trainers will be available to help answer questions and schedule appointments.

Wellness Wednesdays will present “CYA: Cover Your Assets; Exploring Your Health Insurance Options in 2014” at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, in IWC 138. This event will be presented by Jacob Grippen, MNsure Community Outreach Liaison. Grippen will discuss recent changes to state and federal health insurance laws and help answer health insurance questions for students.

Save the date for April 15 when WSU will host Laci Green, sexuality expert, at 7 p.m. in Harriet Johnson Auditorium, Somsen Hall.
