WSU-Chinese-Moon-Festival

Winona State University will hold a Chinese Moon Festival at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, in East Hall, Kryzsko Commons.

The Chinese Moon Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, is held on the 15th day of the eighth month according to the Chinese lunar calendar. Chinese culture is deeply embedded in traditional festivals. Similar to Christmas and Thanksgiving in the West, the Moon Festival is one of the most important traditional events for the Chinese.

To share this tradition and culture, Chinese students from WSU will be performing and cooking for the event. The event is sponsored by the  WSU Chinese Club and Han Culture Society.

The event is open to the public.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets can be purchased from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday in both the Lower Hyphen and Upper Hyphen in Kryzsko Commons.
