The Winona State University Department of Music will present a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept.24, in the Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.

The faculty recital will feature solo and chamber works performed by members of the music faculty at WSU

Faculty performers include pianist Woobin Park; bass-baritone Alan Dunbar percussionists Jeff Strom, Jim Knutson, Matt Ernster and Rich MacDonald; violinist Natalie Filipovich; cellist Paul Vance; and Daniel Sheridan, Harry Hindson, Corey Henke and Kristi Krause on wind instruments.

This will be the first performance at WSU for visiting faculty member Woobin Park. Park, a pianist from South Korea, is winner of numerous competitions, including the Los Angeles Liszt International Piano Competition.

This event is a fundraiser for the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) collegiate chapter. Revenues will be used to support professional activities for WSU students preparing to become music educators.

Tickets are $10 for the general public and $6 for students and seniors. Tickets may be purchased at the door or online at http://www.WSUartstickets.com.
