Winona State University will host the Minnesota Beethoven Festival performance of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, in Harriet Johnson Auditorium in Somsen Hall.

The Grammy Award-winning Orpheus Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1972 by a group of musicians who aspired to perform diverse orchestral repertoire using chamber-music ensemble techniques. Today, Orpheus continues to uphold this philosophy, performing without a conductor and rotating musical leadership roles for each work.

This program will feature pieces by Beethoven, Rossini, Haydn and Tchaikovsky.

The cost of admission is $25 for the general public and $21 for students and senior citizens.
