The team defeated Quinnipiac 60-22 May 3 in the Final Four round of the national playoffs.

Last year the Black Katts played in the Division II Women’s Rugby Championship. This year the team won its fifth-consecutive All Minnesota Collegiate Tournament, which included defeating some Division I teams. The Black Katts’ season record of seven wins, zero losses, led to being ranked number two in Division II women’s college rugby in the first published ranking of the season.

This is the Black Katts’ fourth consecutive trip to the playoffs. The team is led by coaches Roger Riley and Joshua Krzewinski.
